
Megan Rials is a writer, literary scholar, and poet who seeks to make the Gospel accessible through analyzing creative narratives and the ideas embodied in them.
She supplements her work with the rigorous scrutiny and reasoning from her legal training.
She serves as a member of the core writing team for Shadowlands Dispatch, a magazine of cultural apologetics, and as Content Editor and Scholar in Residence for the Society for Women of Letters. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including Christ and Pop Culture, Fare Forward, Dappled Things, VoegelinView, The Worldview Bulletin Newsletter, and Mere Orthodoxy. Her first book chapter is forthcoming in TRUTH: Lectures from Defend the Faith 2025.
Her research interests include the function of memory in spiritual development, the power of language and narrative, the work of the Inklings, and developing a robust theology of suffering.
